The University of Oxford team reached the Semi-Finals of the National Rounds of the 57th Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition, which were held in Gray’s Inn, London on 12-14 February 2016.
The team was composed of second-year undergraduate students Anna Williams (Merton), Katie Ratcliffe (Merton), Nathalie Koh (Queen’s), Sebastian Bates (Keble), and Thomas Foxton (St Peter's), and was coached by Daniel Franchini (MPhil Candidate, St Cross).
The University of Oxford successfully competed, among others, against the London School of Economics, King’s College London, and the University of Cambridge. In each oral round Oxford scored higher than its opponents. Following a tight Semi-Final, Oxford lost out to King’s College London, who eventually proceeded to win the Final.
The Faculty of Law congratulates the team on an excellent performance in one of the most competitive National Rounds of the Competition.
