Call for Papers: The Production of Forced Migration

The term “production” has many senses. We propose that attention to the discursive and material production of migration and displacement might help to defetishize common perspectives, so that the social, economic, and political relations inherent in migration are not hidden. We encourage students, scholars and practitioners in related fields to think broadly and creatively about the proposed theme, but submissions on other topics relevant to migration, settlement, and displacement are also welcome. Individuals, groups, or panels wishing to present at the conference should submit a title and 250-word abstract to CRSSC.Conferences@gmail.com by June 30, 2016. Submissions will be assessed on a rolling basis. It is recommended that international applicants submit their proposal(s) as soon as possible.
