  • Main Core, English Faculty, BLL & Criminology (GF/FF/SF) – drilling & fixing for hoarding erection

  • Main Core North (SF) – drilling & fixing into concrete & metal for partitions

  • Main Core Toilets (GF) – drilling & fixing into concrete & metal for plumbing works

  • Main Core, English Faculty & Criminology (GF/FF/SF) – stripping and removing fixtures and fittings

  • Main Core, English Faculty & Criminology (GF/FF/SF) – stripping and light demolition works

  • BLL (SF) – stripping and removing fixtures/furniture/existing walls

  • Main Core (FF) – fixing into metal/concrete for steel installation

  • Main Core (FF) – demolition works to columns

  • Main Core Toilets (GF) – drilling & fixing into concrete & metal for partitions

  • BLL Lift (GF/FF/SF) – installation of lift

  • External Works (west elevation) – erection hoarding, removing slabs and general moving of materials

The site will be open and medium to low noise level works are expected to take place this Saturday 18th June. The site will not be open on Sunday 19th June.

Temporary ladies toilets have been installed outside of the building. From Monday, the male toilets adjacent to the porters lodge will be closed and temporary facilities will be available at the front of the building, on the Ground Floor next to the Cube Lecture Theatre and on the First Floor adjacent to the English Graduate Common Room.

During the summer the main entrance to the building will be undergoing refurbishment, and the porters will be relocating from their current space to a desk in the foyer.

Bike racks outside the front of the building will also be closed and additional temporary racks will be located on the grass to the front of the building. Any bikes located on the racks at the front of the building should be moved in the next week.
