In keeping with previous years, PIL @ Oxford hosted the International Lawyers for Africa Programme for a one-day lecture series on Public International Law on the 5th of October 2016.
The mission of the ILFA is to build legal excellence in Africa by providing access to advanced legal training, networking opportunities, and education for African lawyers and senior professionals engaged in the negotiation of complex transactions in Africa. The Programme facilitates opportunities for African lawyers to take part in a three-month secondment at international law firms and corporations based in London, Paris, and Dubai.
This year, a group of 22 lawyers travelled to Oxford to attend lectures on International Law and Diplomacy, International Energy Law, International Refugee Law, and International Human Rights Law. Each of these sessions generated engaging discussions and debates.
The Public International Law Group looks forward to welcoming the ILFA Programme again next year!
