Students attend the University open day in June 2017

Today and tomorrow sees the launch of the first ever Freshfields ExpLaw Summer School.

The programme was conceived as a way of giving those students who couldn’t attend UNIQ an insight into Law at Oxford. UNIQ has become very oversubscribed in recent years, meaning that many talented candidates miss out on a place.

The students have a packed two days, attending lectures on asbestos and criminal law as well as talks on the courses offered at Oxford, the LNAT, and student finance. The programme is not only academic in focus, but also gives students a taste of life at Oxford during their stay at Teddy Hall. There is even a ghost tour taking place in the evening which certainly presents a less ordinary face to the city!

We look forward to seeing the benefit the participants will gain from the programme, and hope they have a rewarding experience here at the Faculty.
