Affiliation with UNIDROIT
The Commercial Law Centre at Harris Manchester College has entered into an affiliation with UNIDROIT, whereby each organisation pledges to explore in a spirit of cooperation such opportunities that may arise for collaboration with the other in commercial law research projects.
The organisations already run a number of joint projects.
A conference on Development Finance in Emerging Markets: Challenges, Innovations and Results will be held on 13th -15th April 2018 at the Blavatnik School of Government, Oxford, and being run by Queen Mary – UNIDROIT Institute of Transnational Commercial Law in association with the Commercial Law Centre at Harris Manchester College. This conference, involving many international speakers, will discuss how innovative financial structures and strategies can address these issues, thereby facilitating increased EMDE investments from banks, sovereign wealth funds, insurance companies, private equity funds, public and private pension funds and other institutional parties.
