We are delighted to announce that Ankita Shanker has been awarded funding from the Oxford Meron MICT programme for an internship from September 2018 for three months at the Mechanism for International Criminal Tribunals (MICT). This Fund is made possible through the generosity of Judge Theodor Meron, President of the MICT and Visiting Professor in the Faculty of Law at the University of Oxford.

Interns in Judge Meron's Cabinet play a more substantial role than in any other area at the Mechanism, and during their time in Office the  interns received from Oxford University have taken on a high level of responsibility for numerous tasks on key matters related to the functioning of the Mechanism. These included: drafting and cite-checking orders and decisions on a diverse array of matters related to the myriad responsibilities of the President of the Mechanism; attending and assisting with regular institutional meetings and external relation matters; and conducting research on a number of novel issues.
