Faculty of Law hosts the Freshfields ExpLaw Summer School 2018

The Faculty of Law welcomed 30 students to the second annual Freshfields ExpLaw Summer School on 25 and 26 July.

The summer school provides an intense academic programme which includes Oxford-style tutorials and academic taster sessions on topics such as Property Law and Human Rights. The students also attended talks on the undergraduate courses offered at Oxford, the Oxford admissions process, student finance and a careers presentation by Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer. The students were given an opportunity to experience student life at Oxford with an overnight stay at St Edmund Hall, college tours, and lunches at St Catherine’s and Mansfield college, as well as an Oxford walking tour and ice cream in the evening.

It was friendly, well-organised, and answered all my questions.

Amazingly delivered and extremely useful.

The Faculty would like to thank our student ambassadors, academic staff and legal professionals for delivering such engaging sessions. We hope that the students thoroughly enjoyed the residential and feel well-equipped for submitting their Oxford applications later this year.
