Professor Hodges a member of the Report of the Working Party Regulation of Property Agents

The Working Party of the Ministry of Housing, Communities & Local Government on Regulation of Property Agents, chaired by Lord Best, has published its unanimous Report.

The main recommendations are on how a new single Regulator for the property sector should be designed and operate, including how it should work with Local Authorities, existing self-regulatory bodies, and a proposed single Ombudsman in the property sector.

Professor Hodges was the only academic on the working party, and chaired a sub-committee on regulation.
