Judge Theodor Meron made an Honorary Companion of the Most Distinguished Order of St. Michael and St. George (CMG)

For service to criminal justice and international humanitarian law, H.M. The Queen,  made Judge Theodor Meron an Honorary Companion of the Most Distinguished  Order of St. Michael and St. George (CMG).

Judge Meron is a Visiting Professor at the Oxford Law Faculty, Honorary  Visiting Fellow of Trinity College and a a Visiting Fellow of Mansfield College.

He has been a Judge of the Appeals Chambers of the International Criminal Tribunal for the Former Yugoslavia (ICTY) and the International Criminal Tribunal for Rwanda (ICTR) since his election to the ICTY in March 2001. Judge Meron has served four terms as President of the ICTY.  Judge Meron has served three terms as President of the International Mechanism for Criminal Tribunals, appointed by the UN Secretary-General.
