Virtual Open Day Success!

This year, due to the pandemic, the Oxford University Open Days for prospective undergraduate students were done virtually.  Usually the city is teeming with students and parents who are exploring their options and learning about life as an undergraduate student. This year the city was quiet but the virtual open days were full of interaction, engagment and questions.

Preliminary results show that the University as a whole received over 15,000 questions, had over 2,500 poll votes and almost 9,000 likes of questions. The Law Faculty hosted a busy day of taster lectures, Q&A sessions, informal presentations by current students and information sessions about how to apply.

9335 participants joined the sessions and between them asked over 600 questions. Our Faculty members, Sue Bright, Imogen Goold and Elizabeth Drummond thoroughly enjoyed answering questions and engaging online with prospective students. They were helped by the Linklaters Oxford Law Access Ambassadors who gave participants an insight into life as an Oxford Law student.

The next virtual open day will take place on Friday 18 September 2020.
