Linda Mulcahy
Professor Linda Mulcahy has been invited by Sir Keith Lindblom, Senior President of Tribunals to join the Administrative Justice Council.

The Administrative Justice Council is the only body with oversight of the administrative justice system in the UK, advising government, including the devolved governments, and the judiciary on the development of that system.

The Council’s purpose is to help make the administrative justice system increasingly accessible, fair and effective by: playing a pivotal role in the development and sharing of good practice; promoting understanding, learning and continuous improvement; ensuring that the needs of users are central.

Professor Mulcahy has a long-standing interest in access to administrative justice and the experience of lay users in using it. Current projects in this vein include an ESRC project on online justice (with Anna Tsalapatanis); a NIHR funded research into pathways to complaints about the NHS and an AHRC funded project on social welfare lawyers.
