Arnau Poy

Arnau Poy (Barcelona, 1996) is currently a predoctoral researcher in the Department of Social Anthropology at the University of Barcelona. There, he teaches and collaborates on research projects. He is also a researcher in the GENI research group and a board member of the Catalan Institute of Anthropology. Rooted in the ethnographic tradition of anthropology, his thesis examines the implementation of the asylum and reception system in Spain. His research focuses on access to international protection and the violation of asylum seekers' rights. In addition to his academic activities, he regularly collaborates with civil society and third-sector organizations.
