Biography

Daisy is a DPhil Candidate in Law at Magdalen College, Oxford. Her research and writing interests focus on public international law, particularly States responsibility and human rights. Her doctoral project, supervised by Professor Philippa Webb, examines the role of sovereign wealth funds as actors and potential sources of assets in cases involving international human rights abuses, and is generously funded by the Arts and Humanities Research Council. 

Daisy holds a Bachelor of Laws (First Class Honours) from King’s College London, where she was also awarded the Jelf Medal. Immediately prior to beginning her DPhil, Daisy read for the Bachelor of Civil Law (Distinction) at the University of Oxford. 

Daisy is also a Research Officer in International Law at the Oxford Institute of Technology and Justice, which aims to harness technology, including AI, to advance access to justice, strengthen accountability, and promote the development of international law. 

Daisy has competed in and coached for international mooting competitions, such as the Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition (at both the national and international rounds) and the Nelson Mandela Would Human Rights Moot. She has been a visiting Lecturer at King’s College London. 

Daisy has also contributed to research papers by the Open Society Justice Initiative, European Parliamentary Research Service, as well as Redress and the Clooney Foundation for Justice
