Biography

Eva is a DPhil candidate in Law at St Peter’s College, supervised by Nick Barber.

Her doctoral research project examines the regulation and constitutional role of civil society institutions in competitive authoritarian regimes. Previously, she graduated with Distinction from the Magister Juris at St Hilda's College (University of Oxford). All of her studies at the University of Oxford have been fully funded by the “La Caixa” Foundation and the Ramón Areces Foundation. 

Before her time at Oxford, Eva earned her Bachelor's in Law from the University of Seville, where she graduated first in her cohort and received the ‘Premio Extraordinario de Fin de Estudios’. She achieved the highest academic record in law in the Region of Andalusia and was awarded the VIII Julio Bancloche Award.

Eva is currently a Non-Stipendiary Lecturer in Constitutional Law at St Peter's College (University of Oxford) and a Guest Lecturer in European Union Law at UCL. She is also a Research Fellow in the Constitution Building Programme at the International Institute for Democracy and Electoral Assistance (International IDEA). Eva previously lectured on Constitutional Law at St Catherine's College and the Oxford-Ohio State University Pre-Law Summer School. She is also the Founder of the Constitutional Law and Theory Discussion Group. Likewise, during her bachelor’s degree, she also served as a teaching assistant for the undergraduate course in Public International Law at the University of Seville.
