Biography

Izaskun Linazasoro is a DPhil Candidate in Law at Corpus Christi College, supervised by Professor Liz Fisher. Her doctoral research examines the Natural Resources Administrative State, with a particular focus on administrative theory; Environmental Courts, EIA and natural resource regulation in Chile and Australia. 

She holds an MSc in Environmental Policy and Regulation from the London School of Economics and Political Science, where her dissertation explored sacrifice zones and environmental injustice from a political ecology perspective. She also obtained an LL.M. in Public Law and an LL.B. from the University of Chile, graduating with distinction. Her academic work engages with administrative and constitutional law, environmental law, and socio-legal approaches to environmental governance.

Izaskun is Lecturer in Constitutional Law and Roman Law at Corpus Christi College, where she teaches undergraduate students in the BA in Jurisprudence. She is also Assistant Professor of Public Law at the University of Chile, teaching undergraduate and postgraduate courses in constitutional law, administrative law, regulation, environmental law, and climate change. Her teaching incorporates transdisciplinary methods, drawing on literature, film, and political theory.

Prior to her doctoral studies, she worked extensively in public service and legal practice in Chile. She served as Senior Legal Counsel at the Environmental Assessment Agency, advising on litigation and administrative claims within the Environmental Impact Assessment System. She has also worked as a lawyer in environmental and natural resources law and as a governmental advisor on environmental regulation and public policy.

 

 

Research Interests

Her research interests include administrative law theory, environmental law, environmental justice, and the institutional and legal role of natural resources in the State.
