Biography
Kaie Lemken is a PhD student at Bucerius Law School in Hamburg. His doctoral research examines the epistemologies of social reality in legal interpretation, particularly in German constitutional law, from a feminist perspective. His dissertation is funded by the German National Academic Foundation. Kaie has presented his work in talks on feminist legal theory and epistemic injustice in law. In terms of doctrinal topics, he has focused on the rule of law. His broader research interests include legal interpretation as a social practice, laypeople's perspectives on law, and feminist and social epistemologies. He studied law in Freiburg and philosophy in Freiburg and Hamburg.
