Lauren Fox
Biography
Lauren is a DPhil candidate in Criminology, focusing on labour dynamics in UK Immigration and Asylum Tribunals. Her project explores the relationship between individuals subject to tribunal proceedings and the legal professionals who represent them. Lauren's research is supervised by Professor Mary Bosworth, and is funded by the ESRC Grand Union DTP and Lincoln College’s Kingsgate Scholarship.
Lauren holds a BA in Jurisprudence (Law) and an MSc in Criminology and Criminal Justice (Distinction) from the University of Oxford. Her MSc dissertation focused on the role and impact of procedure in UK Immigration and Asylum Tribunals. Previously, Lauren was a Summer Fellow at the Bonavero Institute of Human Rights, where she worked at Turpin Miller LLP on ongoing deportation and asylum cases, including at the legal aid clinic at HMP Huntercombe.
