Biography
Lavinia Pedol is a doctoral student in Criminal Law at the University of Milan.
Her research examines digital regulation, fundamental rights, and platform governance, with a particular focus on the EU Digital Services Act (DSA) and its effort to balance the fight against illegal online content with the protection of freedom of expression.
More broadly, her work explores the interaction between legal frameworks and online platforms, including a comparative analysis of the DSA and the UK’s Online Safety Act, highlighting the differences between civil law and common law approaches.
Lavinia studied law at the University of Milan.
