You-Hung holds a PhD in Law from the University of Edinburgh and an LLM from Washington University in St. Louis (United States).  He has taught constitutional law, human rights law and commercial law as a lecturer at TamKang University, Taiwan, and has years of experience working in the telecommunications industry.

You-Hung Lin’s research interests include telecommunications law, industry regulation, and competition law in general, specifically the European Union. He is currently engaging in research on the relationship between telecommunications “forced-access” and freedom of expression and the right to communicate, especially possible infringements of the said right and freedom that may occur during the interconnection of digital data (peering) and transit.
