Public Engagement Officer

Dr Andriani Fili, Wellcome Trust Postdoctoral Research Fellow is looking for a Public Engagement Officer to contribute to the final phase of a Wellcome Trust funded project, ‘Medicalising Immigration Detention.’
The postholder will focus on translating research findings into accessible outputs for academic, policy, and public audiences. This includes co-producing written, visual, and audio-visual materials, as well as leading the organisation of dissemination events.
Candidates will hold an undergraduate degree in a social science or humanities subject; knowledge of, or experience conducting research related to border enforcement; migration, detention or adjacent areas of social justice/public policy; demonstrable experience developing and delivering print and digital communications outputs for diverse audiences; excellent communication skills, including the ability to write text for briefings, reports, webpages, blogs, and news items. Experience of using website content management systems and managing social media communications is desirable.
The role is fixed term until 31 March 2027 and is offered on a variable hours basis. Payment will be made on submission of monthly timesheet
