Research Assistants x 2, Taxing People: the Next 100 Years

Professor Tsilly Dagan is looking for 2 research assistants to help with an international conference Taxing People: The Next 100 years.
Tasks for the research assistants will be to attend the conference (June 1-3rd) and help in preparing editorial notes for participants in anticipation of the publication of the papers presented at the conference, plus some administrative assistance in advance of and following the conference.
Duration and hours
Working hours: a total of up to 30 hours per research assistant across the duration of the project, to be agreed with the Supervisor.
Start date: April 24th 2023
Date by which the work must be completed: July 14th 2023, or 12 weeks after start date.
Reporting
The Research Assistants will report to Tsilly Dagan.
Requirements
- A good understanding of the field of International taxation law is essential.
- Experience of event planning/co-ordination is desirable.
- Experience of academic publishing and referencing systems (e.g. OSCOLA) is desirable.
Most of the work can be done in any place in the UK where you have access to the internet, but the Research Assistants will need to be able to be present in person in Oxford for the conference on June 1st, 2nd and 3rd. Meetings with the PI/team members will be held in Oxford or online.
Eligibility
This opportunity is open to current graduate students in the Faculty of Law, and the hours are in line with the restrictions on working hours for students within the Law Faculty.
It is expected that the work will be undertaken in the UK.
Rate of Pay
The work will be paid at £16.49 per hour (including the exceptional non-consolidated uplift for 2022-23), which equates to University Grade 6, point 1, on the basis of completed and approved timesheets, which must be submitted to payroll@law.ox.ac.uk by the last Friday of each calendar month for payment on the last working day of the following month.
In addition, paid annual leave will be assumed to be taken in the month in which it was accrued.

This opportunity is funded by a Faculty Start-up Grant.
