Research Facilitator (Early Career Support)

The Faculty of Law is looking to appoint a Research Facilitator (Early Career Support).  This is a new post and the role holder will provide support for early career research staff in particular, but also for all members of the Faculty thinking of applying for grants or holding a new grant; as well as providing research facilitation (pre- and post-award) support for grants in the Law Faculty and its centres, institutes and programmes. 

The research administration of the Law Faculty is currently under review and the postholder will report to the Head of Research Administration, and will be a key member of the research administration team.  (The Head of Research Administration is a new post, so temporary line management arrangements will be in place until that appointment can commence.)

The successful applicant should be an effective team worker with excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and oral) who is also adept at working independently; have recent experience of financial or research grants administration; familiarity with setting and managing budgets and preparing costings and forecasts; good general education; experience of using Oracle and X5; excellent IT skills (in particular Word and Excel); numerate, able to create reports, analyse and understand financial data with the ability to identify anomalies. Experience of working with early careers academics; running events and workshops and working with UKRI or EU research funding is desirable.

The post is permanent and full time. The postholder will be based in the Faculty of Law, St Cross Building, St Cross Road, Oxford, OX1 3UL.
