The UK India Education Research Initiative (UKIERI) started in April 2006 with the aim of enhancing educational links between India and the UK.
This scheme is run by the University Grants Commission (UGC), a sub-strand of the UKIERI. The UGC will facilitate collaborations between the Indian and UK higher education institutions to support work on new or existing research projects.
