CSLS hosts annual Socio-Legal Studies Association Postgraduate Conference
Every year the SLSA runs a conference for postgraduate students. This year the conference was organised by the Centre for Socio-Legal Studies, and took place at Manor Road Building. It was open to both members and non-members of the SLSA, and was run principally through small group workshops. Sessions were led by leading socio-legal academics with an established research record and understanding of the university sector.
The conference was very informal, and encouraged networking between postgraduate research students with an interest in socio-legal studies. There were plenty of opportunities for discussions with other postgraduates, as well as with the facilitators. Everyone attending submitted a short synopsis of their research interests which were distributed to all students attending the conference, which facilitated the networking process.
