'Building governance and energy efficiency: mapping the inter-disciplinary challenge' SHAPE Energy Workshop 23 March 2018
Associated people
Building on the earlier collaborative work between Susan Bright, David Weatherall, and Frankie McCarthy, we are holding an interdisciplinary workshop on 23rd March 2018, kindly funded by Shape Energy and the Oxford Faculty of Law Research Support Fund.
The aim of the workshop is to explore the challenges associated with decision-making in the context of making energy upgrades and installation of renewable energy technologies in apartment blocks. This builds on the building governance model developed by Sue and David (explained here: https://academic.oup.com/jel/article/29/2/203/3885317). In particular, the workshop brings together a variety of disciplines (economics, energy policy, social psychology, environmental psychology, and practical retrofit experience) in order to see how difference perspectives can provide insight into addressing the challenges.
One outcome from the workshop will be completion of a ‘think piece’ for a SHAPE Energy collection (https://shapeenergy.eu/index.php/activities/think-pieces/).
