Biography

Georgia is an MPhil in Law candidate at Lady Margaret Hall. She is supervised by Dr Katrin Mueller-Johnson at the Centre for Criminology, researching cyber victimisation and child safety. She is particularly interested in the characteristics and motivations of offenders who sexually victimise children online. Her current research examines child sexual abuse material (CSAM) offenders on the dark web. This research project is in collaboration with Protect Children, an NGO based in Finland. 

She holds an MSc in Criminology and Criminal Justice from the University of Oxford where she researched peer-to-peer sextortion. She also holds a BA in Psychology and Behavioural Science from McGill University where she researched child maltreatment and forensic interviewing practices. Her studies at Oxford are funded by the Faculty of Law.

Cyber victimisation, technology facilitated abuse (TFA), child sex abuse (CSA), sextortion, cyber grooming.
