Biography
Karen is an experienced fintech corporate lawyer and is currently the Lead Counsel for international business in Ant Group. Prior to that, she was the APAC senior regional counsel of a fintech start-up focussing on B2B, B2C and Buy-Now-Pay-Later businesses. In 2015, she joined Paul Hastings as an associate specialising in cross-border M&A transactions, takeovers, equity/debt financing and joint ventures.
Karen is a committee member of the In-House Lawyers’ Committee under the Law Society of Hong Kong and had served as a committee member of the Young Solicitors’ Committee for over 4 years. She was the Fintech panel speaker in the 57th annual congress of the International Young Lawyers’ Association in 2019.
Karen read Business and Law at the University of Hong Kong, followed by MSc in Law and Finance in the University of Oxford. She was the first student from Hong Kong being admitted into the MLF programme.
