Biography

Marcus Dahl is a DPhil candidate at the Centre for Socio-Legal Studies. His research interests include constitutional and human rights law reform, and his doctorate focuses on Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander constitutional change advocacy in Australia. He is supervised by Professor Fernanda Pirie at the Centre for Socio-Legal Studies and Professor Asmi Wood at the Australian National University.

Marcus holds a Bachelor of Laws (Hons) and a Bachelor of Science from the Australian National University, and a Bachelor of Civil Law from the University of Oxford. He was admitted as a lawyer of the Supreme Court of the Australian Capital Territory in 2019.

Before coming to Oxford, Marcus worked as a Foreign Law Clerk at the Constitutional Court of South Africa, a Judge's Associate at the Federal Court of Australia, and worked with Community and Aboriginal Legal Services.
