Chichele Professorship of Public International Law
We are looking to appoint an outstanding legal scholar to the Chichele Professorship of Public International Law who will provide leadership in teaching at the highest level and make a distinguished contribution to the study of Public International Law, broadly conceived.
As the Chichelle Professor, you will play an essential role in nurturing and developing the intellectual climate of legal studies through publication, teaching, and participation in the wider scholarly life of the subject. You will be expected to contribute to the long-term development of the study of public international law; and to the governance of the Law Faculty and the University of Oxford.
You should have an outstanding research and publication record, an exciting research agenda and strong teaching, supervision and leadership skills. You will be well placed to provide encouragement, support and mentorship to more junior colleagues and academic visitors and, more generally, to sustain a lively scholarly climate in Oxford.
