Visiting Research Fellow and Professor Cathay YN Smith, University of Montana

Professor Smith will discuss her current work in progress, ‘Cancelling Dr Seuss.’ She examines racist (and sexist) content embedded in classic children’s works, the different actions authors, copyright owners, and publishers have taken to remedy those works, and the potential legal and policy implications of those actions under copyright, moral rights, and free speech.
