Andrew Paxman is a research professor of history at CIDE in Mexico. He is co-author of El Tigre, a biography of media mogul Emilio Azcárraga Milmo, and author of the biography Jenkins of Mexico, the monograph Mexican Watchdogs: The Rise of a Critical Press since the 1980s, and a forthcoming biography of former Mexican President Andrés Manuel López Obrador.
