Ivan Lee is an assistant professor at the National University of Singapore. His interests lie in legal history and criminal law, with emphasis on ideas and practices of criminal law, jurisdiction, and procedure in the British Empire. His book, Extradition and Empire: Sovereignty and Subjecthood in Hong Kong has recently been published by Cambridge University Press.
