The Strike Down Power

Tom Adams (Oxford) will present his paper 'The Strike Down Power'. 

Tom is an Associate Professor at the Faculty of Law as well as a Tutorial Fellow at St Catherine's College. He works in the philosophy of law, as well as on theoretical aspects of constitutional and administrative law. Tom has written on foundational issues in jurisprudence including the rule of law, the relevance of coercion to law, legal positivism, and the nature of legal systems. In public law, he has written on the nature of human rights, parliamentary sovereignty, the ontology of unlawful acts and decisions, and courts' power to strike down legislation. Most recently, he has been working on a project on the nature of constitutional law.
