Trends and Dynamics in Health and Emerging Technologies
Speaker(s):
This one-day workshop examines the ways in which emerging technologies have impacted medical research and healthcare delivery. From the expansion of digital health platforms and telemedicine to advances in data analytics, artificial intelligence, biotechnology, and wearable devices, technological change has redefined the practices of clinical care, patient engagement, and health governance significantly over the last twenty years.
The workshop provides a forum for critical reflection on these developments, situating them within broader political, social, legal, and ethical contexts. Participants will explore the opportunities and challenges posed by technological innovation, including broader questions of justice, equity, access, and responsibility.
Through presentations, panel discussions, and dialogue, the event seeks to foster interdisciplinary exchange and to consider how the trajectory of emerging technologies has shaped and will continue to shape the future of healthcare.
