The Unified Patent Court – A New Supra-National Court For IP

The Unified Patent Court went live on 1st June 2023. We will hear about the formation of this new court, its relationship to the EU, its “long-arm” jurisdiction in non-EU countries, and the challenges & opportunities which have already arisen during its brief history. Our speaker Cameron Marshall (Queen’s, 1991) has been one of the most active UK practitioners at the court, having already argued three cases before the Düsseldorf judges and being ready to argue a fourth in Paris next month.
