There is no better training in the law than the Oxford BA in Jurisprudence. It is a full-time three year course, although there is an option to study for the Law with Law Studies in Europe course which is four years in length. The degree is a qualifying law degree for the purposes of practice as a solicitor or barrister in England and Wales.

Director of Undergraduate Studies

The tutorial system is at the centre of the degree. Students in groups of two or three have the chance to discuss and debate legal issues with some of the very best legal academics. In addition, the Faculty provides outstanding lectures and seminars from leaders in their field, and small group training in legal research.

We welcome applications from students of all background. Competition for places is fierce, but we give careful consideration to all who apply.

Graduates from Oxford’s law degree have risen to the very top of their professions in a wide range of fields in Britain and around the world.
