On 14 July 2025, the first conference on Decolonising EU Law was held at the University of Oxford Law Faculty. It was organised by Professor Iyiola Solanke, together with the Law Faculty Events Team and Convenors of the Decolonising Law Discussion Group (Almas Shaikh, Mihika Poddar, and Rawletta Barrow).
The first conference on Decolonising EU Law was held at the University of Oxford Law Faculty on July 14, 2025. Organised by Professor Iyiola Solanke, together with the Law Faculty Events Team and Convenors of the Decolonising Law Discussion Group (DPhil candidates Almas Shaikh, Mihika Poddar & Rawletta Barrow), the conference brought together a group of international speakers and students to think about the purpose, principle and practical aspects of engaging decolonial theory with EU law. The conference was organised into three panels on each of these themes.
