Undergraduate student competition: Bernard Williams Essay Prize

The Institute for Ethics in AI is offering a prize, worth up to £500, for the best essay submitted by undergraduates enrolled at the University of Oxford.

Candidates are required to write an essay in response to the following question:

Are AI systems better friends than humans?

Entries should be a maximum of 1,500 words. The closing date for entries is 30 September 2025.
