The 14th Oxford International Intellectual Property Moot will be held from Thursday 17 to Saturday 19 March 2016, and will take place at Pembroke College, Oxford.

The short-listed finalists are invited to the Moot following the Written Phase in December 2015.  A list of finalists is available on this website.   If your university is interested in entering a team for the Moot next year, please email jennifer.hassan@law.ox.ac.uk to be included on our mailing-list.

The problem for the 2016 moot revolves around so-called "ambush marketing" of the Erewhon Community Games, and in particular the misuse of Clarrie and Bettina, the event mascots. The Erewhon Community Games Association was successful at first instance in relation to its claims under the Erewhon Community Games Indicia Act 2011, although its copyright infringement claim was defended successfully. The case has now been appealed all the way to the Supreme Court of Erewhon.
