Creativity and objects generated by AI-driven systems

This presentation will address questions whether objects generated by AI-driven systems could be protected by copyright under the current legal regime in the UK and the EU and whether they may be granted European patents. The answers will be offered in the context of state-of-the-art AI- driven systems and their outcomes. Although such issues have been raised before, this presentation should shed some light on their unexplored dimensions by distinguishing between creative inputs requirements and creative inputs tests in the law.
