Interactive Linklaters Commercial Awareness Workshop (open to any degree discipline)

Interested in a career in commercial law? Would you like to see how a deal works and brush up on your commercial awareness? This session is open to both law and non-law students.

Linklaters is the only firm with market-leading global teams in corporate, finance and commercial practice areas across our global network of 29 offices. The firm has a commanding presence across the full range of practice areas. This, partnered with our culture of innovation, teamwork and entrepreneurship, means that we have built strong relationships with the world’s leading companies, financial institutions and governments, advising them on their most important, complex and challenging transactions and assignments.

Even if you have never considered a career in Law, you can put your knowledge and business skills to the test with this practical session designed to strengthen your understanding of how businesses work, stretch your critical thinking and help master your presentation skills.

Join us on Wednesday 27th January (12-2.30pm) at The Hub, Turl Street Kitchen where you will have the opportunity to engage in a typical deal transaction, understand the twists and turns and experience the real day-to-day work of a Trainee. The interactive session is designed to help students understand the selection process and will also cover time management and communication. Representatives from Linklaters will also be available to assist during the session and offer some invaluable insight. Participants will receive a free copy of Christopher Stoakes’ Commercial Awareness book and there will be prizes for the winning team. A buffet lunch will be provided.

Places are very limited and we would therefore advise to register your interest as soon as possible to Amba Shaw [mailto:amba@mykindafuture.com] by 22nd January. Please provide your full name, year of study, email address and college.
