Ahmer Bilal Soofi

The Oxford South Asian Society is pleased to host Mr Ahmer Bilal Soofi for a talk on the role of public international law in conflicts in South Asia. Mr Soofi served as a caretaker Federal Law Minister of Pakistan and is the founding President of Research Society of International Law. He also heads a law firm with offices in Lahore and Islamabad. Mr Soofi has represented Pakistan before several UN bodies, forums and international courts. He was a member and chair of the UN Advisory Committee on Human Rights, Geneva. He advocates for legal diplomacy amongst South Asian countries as a cooperative framework for common disputes and challenges.
