Every year Keble College's Law Society, the Harris Society, runs the Bernard Lecture - which is delivered by an esteemed member of the legal profession. This year's lecturer will be Ms. Eleanor Sharpston QC: ‘The Court of Justice of the EU: a Brexit “red line”, but what is it really like?’. Ms Sharpston has combined a career in practise at the Bar with an academic career at both UCL and Cambridge university, where she is a fellow of King's College. She was previously joint head of Hailsham Chambers before taking up her post as Advocate General of the CJEU in 2006. The title of the lecture will be ‘The Court of Justice of the EU: a Brexit “red line”, but what is it really like?’.
