Dr. Richard Hough has a unique background previously holding senior positions in US police and prisons organisations before his academic career. Richard is appointed in the Department of Criminology and Criminal Justice and the Department of Administration and Law at the University of West Florida. He is co-author and author of several texts, and his research interests include police use of force, murder investigations, and development of policy. His latest research examines comparative aspects of U.K. – U.S.  development of criminal investigators and the use of force in policing.
