Speaker(s)
Lord Neuberger of Abbotsbury

Lord Neuberger of Abbotsbury, President of the Supreme Court of the United Kingdom, will deliver this year’s Neill Lecture on Friday November 10, 2017, at 5.00pm in the Examination Schools. The title is Twenty Years a Judge: Reflections and Refractions. All are welcome.

After the Miller (‘Brexit’) case, Lord Neuberger will be recognisable to many who previously did not know the name or face of the President of the UK’s highest court. Having announced in November that he will be retiring from the Supreme Court at the end of Summer 2017, Lord Neuberger will be reflecting on a number of general legal issues that he regards it as important to highlight as his illustrious judicial career draws to a close.

The Neill Lecture is organised by All Souls College in honour of the late Lord Neill of Bladen, who was Warden of All Souls 1977-1995 and Vice-Chancellor of the University of Oxford 1985-1989.
