In this lecture, Polish lawyer Marcin Matczak will outline the legal and constitututional developments in Poland under the rule of the Law and Justice Party, which include the threat of EU sanctions over reforms to the judiciary and the recently announced and highly controversial Holocaust bill. The issues raised in the lecture will be discussed in greater depth at a workshop the following day. Marcin Matczak is a lawyer and lecturer at the Institute of Theory of State and Law, University of Warsaw. He specializes in competition and consumer protection, constitutional law, European business law, and healthcare and pharmaceutical law. He is Editor-in-chief of the Life Sciences Law Blog, and has published numerous publications including the Chambers Law & Practice Guide.
