Routes to Affordable Justice

To conduct a feasibility study for the application of data management, artificial intelligence and associated technologies to support the work of actors in affordable justice. We do not want to be a solution in search of a problem. This feasibility study aims to address several unknowns within the legal ecosystem in regards to technology and its use. A key aim is to map out the existing entities, systems and information as well as the currently utilised technology and processes. Our hypothesis is that there is a technical-socio disconnect within this space; and, that the abrupt integration of various technological solutions may have little to no benefit on the practical application of affordable justice. Legal, especially in affordable justice, is predominantly a person-to-person endeavour. Any future solutions that aim to consolidate the use of technology into this system must take into account, the human factors.
