Screening of 'The Children Act'

Oxford Children's Rights Network will be screening the 2018 film, 'The Children Act' .  The film deals with a case about whether a 17 year old Jehovah’s Witness boy with leukaemia can refuse blood products, although this will prevent further possibly life-saving treatment. It touches on issues of medical law, as well as human rights, and will be followed by a discussion with Dr Ruth Caulkin, Consultant in Palliative Medicine, Chelsea and Westminster NHS Foundation Trust and John Eekelaar, Emeritus Fellow of Pembroke College, Oxford.
