The conference aims to examine the interface of law, ethics and the developing academic discipline of Animal Law in the UK and elsewhere. To explore how ethics affect the practical implementation of policy and law in practice. To share good practice in the teaching and scholarship of Animal law while exploring animal welfare implications of changes in policy and practice.

The overall themes of the conference will include farmed animals, companion animals, ethical and philosophical perspectives of animal law, wildlife, policy and practice of animal law as well as education and animal law.
